Results from the US Champs, August 9/10, Laramie, Wyoming

Northwest runners did very well at the US Champs last week in Wyoming.  Check the meet site, www.uschamps2008.com , for results, but here are some of the Gold and Silver results.  Lots of excellent results, but here are two outstanding results by Sammamish runners:

 

Dave Enger Gold in M55 and

 

Leif Anderson Silver in M21,

 

the premier men's race of the year.  Leif was just edged out of the gold by an Australian student studying in the US.

Wilburton Hills Permanent Course

Wilburton Hill Permanent Orienteering Course maps are available at the Bellevue Botanical Gardens Visitor Center, located at 12001 Main St Bellevue. 425 452-2750. The center is open seven days a week from 9am to 4pm.  Maps are free.

The Wilburton Hill Permanent Orienteering Course is located at Wilburton Hill Park just to the east of the Bellevue Botanical Gardens, at the intersection of Main St and 124th Ave NE.  Participants should park at Wilburton Hill Park.

Bob Reddick and Ken Lew will be attending the World Rogaine Championships at Valga, Estonia, September 13/14
